I had spent the rest of the day alone in my room. The incident with the Beta caused me to feel the need to curl up in bed. I wanted to be alone. I had been struggling with the thought of Harley finding his fated mate. I know it was crazy. It truly felt like I had suffered a major loss… yet he was never mine to lose. Maybe I just allowed myself to get a little too close… and nothing had really happened between us… but I knew feelings were there. They were developing. And then for Beta Asher to so coldly throw what felt like my loss back in my face when he had seen how much it was hurting me had been difficult.
