Chapter 77. Last Battle

I finish dressing up. Ray is perched on the bed, all dressed up and ready for what awaits us ahead.

Months ago, when I learned the whole truth about what I had gotten myself into, I got worried sick, and I was worried until a few days ago. But not anymore. I am not. I am going to face those foes with renewed confidence because I am certain that victory is ours.

“Isn’t it too early to smile so bravely?” Liam asks as he hugs me from behind.

I turn around in his embrace, the smile not dying. It is not dying ever.

After today, this man will be all mine in all senses. For the past seven days, we have lived like a real couple, and this room and our happy, contented souls can bear witness to that. Everything has been total bliss. And from tonight on, the thrill will be immeasurable. I just cannot wait.

“It is not. I have divine certainty in our victory, and I can already envision the look on our enemy's faces when we slap the defeat on them. Finally, my bab
