With practiced care, Cordin helped Prince Ron up the steps into the carriage. Inside, the seats were cushioned with plush lilac velvet and the windows were draped in sheer silver curtains. A small lantern inside glowed softly, casting a warm halo over everything.

Prince Ron waved them goodbye and closed the curtain, barely waiting for the carriage to lurch into motion before tearing open the letter with trembling fingers. 

He took a deep breath, the scent of roses and wine mingling with the soft leather and candlelight as he began to read, heart racing.
