"That is not just any question. You know what you are trying to do." I said to her. 

"What do you expect me to do?" She asked me. "You go to work with her and come back with her. What do you want me to think?" She asked me. 

"It's nothing, trust me. It's completely professional." I said to her. trying to convince her that I wasn't doing anything with Mary. She however was not convinced. She has never really trusted me. She knew that something was definitely up.

"Come on, lighten up." I said to her. "I am really hungry. Why don't I freshen up and we can go out and eat somewhere together, just us." I said to her.
