The trip was to happen in a few days. I know he told his wife about it because ever since that day, she started looking at me like I had stolen something of hers. 

I know he hasn't told her about the fact that it had to do with coming as a couple and he chose me over her. If he did, it would have been a lot worse for me. 

The next day at work, I still planned to give him the silent treatment, but he told me to relax so that he knew what he was doing. 

He proceeded to start talking to me about my future plans and advising me on how to do things. Automatically, the anger had to go.
