"Okay, boss. But you owe me one. I'll get the reason out of you eventually."

George sighed with a smile playing on his lips as he looked out the window. 

George opened the door to his apartment, gesturing for John to leave. 

"Thanks for the ride. I'll catch you later, okay?"

His assistant hesitated, his eyes narrowing slightly. He did not want to leave.

 "You sure you don't want me to come in, boss? Keep you company for a bit?"

George shook his head, his expression firm. 

"No, that's not necessary. I'm good. Just need some time to myself, okay?"

His assistant's face showed his disappointment, but he tried again. 

"But, George, you've just gotten out of prison. You must be exhausted. Let me make you a cup of tea, or something to eat. We can talk about—"

George raised a hand, cutting him off. He just wanted some peace and quiet. With his assistant around he won't get it.
