Chapter 57. Your Fate Was Sealed

Becca picked one very long and intimidating needle. It was at least four inches long and as thick as a broomstick. 

She mumbled some enchantment on the needle then Injected it into Ainar's skin. 

Lykie's eyes widened in shock as she trembled.

"You want to take her blood." 

"Yes."

"Why?"

"I told you not to ask too many questions. It's not good for you to know these things."

"Why?" The more she was asked not to ask, the more Lykie wanted to know. 

"Knowing could cost you your life," Becca said as she continued to push the needle along Ainar's vein.

Hearing that, Lykie twitched her nose and swallowed the next word on her tongue. 

Once all the needle had gone in remaining just the tip of the needle where there was a tiny hole, Becca stopped and started invoking another long and complicated incantation. 

While this incarnate was going on, Ainar was regretting her choices.
