I walked out of the conference room like a soldier returning from a lost battle.
My head was spinning with different thoughts. What the hell was going on? Had the heavens decided it was the day our family legacy would end?
I could not help but replay the memory of Stephen’s smug face as he was elected CEO.
The company suddenly fell too stuffy for me. I needed to leave. I wanted to leave.
Ignoring Grace and every other person, I took my private elevator straight to my private parking lot.
