[Flashback continues]

“Thank you, Boss,” I whispered before sitting and taking a drink.

“You know, you’re the best at what you do. You’re the most effective among all of them. That’s why I always trust you with the biggest gigs. This one will be the most important job of your life.

He looked into my eyes with a dead serious look. “There can be no mix-ups, no mistakes, no failures. Do you understand?”

“Yes.”

He threw me the file. There was a picture of an older man and a young girl.
