Chapter 105. Stay Away

“This is the ladies' room, Mr Fletcher.” Olivia la Rose said, and although her coldness sliced through my heart, I chuckled.

“What did you just call me?”

“Please leave.” She was not avoiding my eyes, nor was she panting under that serious voice, or discreetly pressing her knees, all the usual tell-tale signs that she wanted me, was burning for me to touch her.

This had to be a dream. One of those horrible nightmares I had never been able to break away from.

But what was she doing in my nightmares when she was usually only in my dreams? The happy dreams, the peaceful dreams, the erotic dreams.

I took a step closer but froze because she hurried back and the raw fear I saw in her eyes was like a cold punch to my gut.

I have seen her skeptical around me, sometimes even flinch, but never afraid. Never this look of absolute terror like I was here to take her life. Like she was not the most important person to me in the world.
