Chapter 110. The Strippers Club
“Good,” Harper replied as the display sign of a popular strip club came into view.
I inhaled, already feeling this was a bad idea.
“Good?” I turned my eyes back to Harper.
“It makes me so damn excited,” he responded, nodding to the valet who appeared as our car slowed down in front of the club. “I hope the thought eats a hole in that dark heart of his.”
Harper lined his car behind the couple who had just stopped in front. And I took in the entrance teeming with elegant-looking people who claimed their access cards at the door and disappeared into the building.
Harper stepped on the brakes, and turned to me, “Are you OK? Did he do something to you?”
I shook my head. “My girl kept him in check.” I tapped the gun in my purse, and Harper’s eye twinkled in dark amusement.
