“Are you going to punish me for this, Olivia?” Colt sat defeated on the bed, watching me pack my bag after I told him I couldn’t stay here with him. 

“I’m not punishing you. I just need to be out of this house.” 

I was near the door when he said, “I never wanted this, I never wanted any of this.”

I spun around then, my eyes furious. 

“Do you know how difficult it has been for me since this whole nightmare began?” I yelled, “You are about to have a baby, Colt. You are about to have a baby with your ex.”

“That’s not my child.” He stood up, his face red and angry.

“Doesn’t matter whether you acknowledge it or not. That’s your child.” 

I hurried out the door, deciding not to kiss Morvian before leaving. I couldn’t let him see me in this state.

At the office, I had barely taken a seat when Maya walked in with her computer after barely knocking. She placed the computer in front of me, and my eyes fell on the headlines.
