Chapter 66. Reset To Zero

“You don’t love me,” I shook my head, and dragged myself off his bed.

“What are you doing?” He watched me fish around for my clothes.

“Getting the hell out of enemy territory,” I whispered more to myself, but I heard him move, and I flinched back.

“Don’t touch me!” 

“I have never told anyone what I just told you, Olivia.” His eyes were clear and honest as he stopped in his tracks.

I threw my hands up in frustration, my clothes flying with them. “What do you want from me, Colt?” I fisted my hair, staring at him.

“I want to keep you safe. We have to be on the same side.”

“We can’t!” I finally snapped. “There is already a conflict of interest. I want children, Colt. I did not realize how much until just now. I want to create a family and restore what my alcoholic father destroyed."

He frowned, and I realized I just said too much.
