Three Months Later

The day I had been anticipating was finally here. I was getting married to the love of my life, the father of my child. What more could I have asked for?

“How are you feeling?” Raelynn asked, knotting the final bow of my wedding dress.

“I’m so nervous right now.” I laughed nervously, moving back from the mirror to look at myself. The gown fitted my body like a second skin and the veil was attached to my hair and flowed down my back. It was perfect.

Sophie flung open the door, dressed in a tiny flower girl gown with her curls bouncing on her head.

“Mommy, you look like a Disney princess.” she smiled, wrapping her hands around my knees.

I stooped to peck the crown of her curls. “That makes you my little princess.”
