Chapter 95. Happy Birthday

Ava’s POV

It’s been two months since we got married and there came another day I had been eagerly waiting for Max’s birthday.

The morning was peaceful. I woke Sophie up with a kiss on the cheek and got her to brush her teeth. Max was still asleep because he got home late from work the day before.

I proceeded to make breakfast because I had promised breakfast in bed for his birthday. I was almost done with breakfast when I turned to see Max leaning on the kitchen door frame.

I grinned at him. “Happy birthday, Max.”

He came forward to wrap his hands around me from behind. “I was promised pancakes in bed.” He grumbles with his morning voice.

“Then you should have stayed in bed,” I teased him. “You’re not going to work today, right? You are spending the entire day with Sophie and I.”
