Chapter 71
Antonia was just recovering from her sprained ankle. She was still in shock as to why Marconi hadn’t said anything or made remarks about yesterday night. He was being overly quiet. Antonia made sure that he wasn’t upset. She wanted him to be upset and lose his mind. That was the only reason she went out of her way to disobey him. She could have still disobeyed him by going ahead to drink from his bar, but she didn’t, because she wanted to make him blow a fuse.
If there was anything she had noticed in the few weeks she got married to him, it was his controlling and possessive behavior. Whenever she pissed him off he always had one word on his lips: “You are mine and you do what I say.” How Antonia hated his words and not his body was somehow she was unable to figure out.
So many times they argued, she wanted to tell him she wasn’t his and would never be, with solid reasons why, but she held herself and kept waiting for her plans to actualize so he could see it himself. Sh
