She laid down on her bed staring at the ceiling with so many thoughts in her head. She had no idea when tears started rolling down from the corner of her eyes into her ears. She felt pain—pain of a reopened wound. Pain that she was sure was taking everything away from her. A pain she wished she could have avoided two years ago. Now it was too late. If Eli knew about her marriage and who she got married to, there was a chance he also knew where she was living.
She was half asleep when her phone beeped again.
“Sweet dreams, my love. I can’t wait to see you.”
