This instantly makes the middle-aged man gape. His eyes blink repeatedly while closely observing the girl in front of him.
It's not without reason he's scrutinizing more than what his eyes can see.
Her voice. Her way of speaking. And even though there's a scar that makes him furrow his brow for a moment after looking at her, a flicker of a memory about the young lady, erased entirely until now, resurfaces.
