Chapter 38. The Party
Tiana’s POV
It’s no small joke when you return from the hospital thinking you'd have some peace, only to be told you have to prepare dinner or cook a variety of foods because there is going to be a party at home. At this point, I didn’t know if I should cry or continue with the workload in front of me. This man was a sadist. I had no idea why he would want me to be up all night tending to some rich people when I should have been at my auntie's hospital bed, tending to her.
Grateful was the word that came to mind when I remembered my best friend Elodie was at her bedside. I mentally thanked God for allowing me to tell the doctor she was free to go in and meet my auntie since she was a family acquaintance. Now, back to cooking. The day was most probably going to be a long one.
