Chapter 53. A Crazy Scenario

He realized after she had left that he had mishandled the issue and needed to apologize to her. He hadn't listened to her side of the story, and she was more than angry—he had never seen her so mad. It then occurred to him that Elodie might have just been envious of Tiana. Why hadn't he realized that sooner? He had made Tiana feel terrible about herself, and she might never forgive him for what he had done to her.

For the second time in her life, she had been humiliated by this man. The first time was when he had taken her virginity, and she felt terrible for having lost it in such a careless manner. Now, she had gotten pregnant by him, and the person she thought was her surviving family and friend had gone as far as making Lewis think she was a whore who slept around with numerous men for money, insinuating she didn’t know the father of her child.

“God I’m dying” Tiana screamed after she had gone to the park to clear her head because she was confused. Later on
