Chapter 21. Troublesome Female

Vivienne’s POV

The doctor was scaring me, his hesitant behavior had me feeling fuzzy inside as I fiddled with my hands which had turned cold. I could see the same reaction with Victor although he was good at masking his expressions with his furrowed brows and I knew he was agitated as well. I didn’t want to make a mistake. If I did then Victor would get angry.

I glanced back at Kyan but he was in his world hence my attention turned to doctor maverick who now had a warm smile. At least his smile made me feel at ease as I exhaled and inhaled silently as if keeping my breathing stable. Doctors could cause someone a heart attack with their unnecessary suspense

“I thought something was amiss but I guess it had some effects due to the fruits she must have taken…” he started explaining as Victor went through the file. I sat there agitated as I waited for him to finish what he had to say. What caused my stomach to ache like that, at least hearing fruits br
