Meanwhile, Alexis had gotten out of the shower and was angrily tossing clothes on the bed, disturbing Maverick who shoved the clothes off his laptop. Glancing up he was wondering why the woman was busy venting her anger on the clothes and an innocent man like him

“And what’s gotten into you?” Maverick asked nonchalantly, however, Alexis didn’t dare say a word but tossed more clothes on the bed angrily. She turned around and walked closer to the bee. Maverick arched his eyebrows at her. It was in the middle of the night. They had an exhausting day. Wasn’t she supposed to be sleeping

“Tell me… are all men this worthless?” the woman asked, sounding bitter. Maverick was even more perplexed

“Does that… include…myself?” he asked a little hesitant not sure if the insults applied to him

“When I say all men… you inclusive,” Alexis lashed out at him. She stood by the bed with her hands resting on her hips like some boss.
