“Yes it is. I haven’t even started thinking about buying stuff for the baby. I’ve been so focused on work.” She moved away from him so she could have a better look at the crib. “When did you get it?” she asked.

“I bought it last week when you were away,” he replied. “I wanted you to be surprised…I know that a lot has been going on and you’ve been so busy. I wanted to do something to make you happy… And from the look on your face, it was totally worth it”.

She smiled. “Oh Julian. Thank you so much. I love you.”

He smiled and pulled her closer to him. “You know it’s been a while since I have heard you say that to me?”

“It has?”

“Yeah.”

“It’s alright. I know it’s because you’ve been really occupied, but I’d love it if you said it more. It makes me so happy when you do.”
