Chapter 58. When I Screamed Harder I Meant the Sex and not the Entire Relationship

Elena’s POV

Once upon a time in a city named Los Angeles, an explosion of heatwave erected in the air making every individual both supernatural and human squeamish and sweaty and that invited a long and lazy restlessness to the summer days. People paraded the city in wide-brimmed hats and kept trouping into the bar to order for iced drinks and liquors.

The bar was stuffy and filled with people drinking, chatting and laughing excitedly. The bar was named Thunderbolt and it reminded me of a comic cartoon from nickelodeon that comprised of a supernatural family called Thunder Man. Suzy and Hilda were both dressed in jeans bum shorts while Suzy had her blouse buttons removed to expose her bosoms. We all sat in front of the barman and drank away the late afternoon that led to early evening. The air conditioner was on but it felt ineffective as a result of the population explosion present in the bar.
