Chapter 63. It’s a Do or Die Affair
Hilda’s POV
Sunbeam crept into my room bit by bit before gradually illuminating my room as the soft golden diffuse rays settled on my face, waking me in the process and disrupting my much more craved slumber.
“Hilda, I have made hot coffee, fried yummy eggs, and pancakes, and picked up fresh apples for you from the garden.” Mom’s voice reverberated around the house.
“Thanks mother,” I said begrudgingly and used my pillow to shield my face.
“Come downstairs right now and come and have breakfast before I come in using formula B for you.” She called out again, this time around with a threat.
“Five more minutes mom, just five and I will be at the dining.”
The shrilling sound of a voice made me jump up from my bed in nightmare. It was my mother dressed in her pajamas, singing God knows what while my eardrums bled and cried in agony. Her skin glowed in the presence of sunlight and she looked pretty chic for a woman of forty-five years.
