Chapter 25
The cricketing sound of the night filled his ears as sleep stood far away from him. It’s been a week since his last encounter with the strange lady in the woods. He glanced at his empty bed. Diala had moved to her chamber so he had enough time to himself. He tossed around the bed unable to sleep, and the thought of the lady filled his mind. He still has unanswered questions which he badly needs a response to. He glanced out of the window, and the moon shone at its highest crest.
Unable to withstand this anymore, he got out of his bed, wore his cloak, and walked out of the palace. As he galloped deep into the woods, the cries of night birds filled his ears.
He rode deeper, his long hair flowing to the touch of the night breeze. After a whole ride, he got to the place they met the last time, his eyes scanning around as he looked for her. Robert got down from the horse which he held on tightly, his footsteps echoing through the quiet woods.
