''Dad, can you tell me what was that?'' I asked him with a disappointed tone in my voice. They instilled in me the value of respect from a young age, but here he was acting disrespectfully toward my boss. If not as my ''boyfriend'', at least treat him as a visitor or as my boss.

''I find it unbelievable that you have a boyfriend already after Jasper…'' Dad regarded me while shaking his head.

''You've been crying for that ex-boyfriend of yours for the past month, and now you've found a new one?'' he said firmly. ''And not just an ordinary man, but your boss! And he's married!''

''Dad, let me explain…'' I spoke more subduedly as I turned to face the living room only to see my brother and Easton having a serious conversation. It was so embarrassing if my boss could overhear what dad and I were talki
