Chapter 37. Almost Caught

Griffin’s POV

My father was coming and he was getting closer with each step. I couldn’t risk him seeing Ethan. “Spray it.” I whispered hurriedly to my sister. She grabbed the can and quickly sprayed around us hiding the scent of Ethan as much as possible.

Panic flooded through my veins, paralysing me for a few seconds. I exchanged a frantic glance with Iris, her eyes were wide with fear and uncertainty.

If he came in here then he would know what I had done and it would be the end for me. I knew that he would be angry.

“Quick! Hide it,” I hissed gesturing towards the vial and the small kit. Instantly my sister jumped to action, shoving it into the pocket of her jumper.

“What the hell are we going to do?” Iris mumbled as our father’s footsteps got closer.

“Iris, be quiet.” I warned her, I blocked the door quickly, thinking carefully what to do.
