Sofia’s POV

I waited patiently for Sterling to come home. He sent me back home after seeing the damage that had been done to my store. It was upsetting, at first. Now I was just pissed off. This was one way for that asshole to show us that either he came back or he had never left in the first place.

“Mommy, why are you so grumpy today?” Steel asked as he stood by my side. He had come home from school about an hour ago.

I let out a sigh.

“It’s very complicated. Someone decided to be mean and mess up my store.” It was the best way I could think of actually explaining it to him.
