Sterling’s POV

I waited patiently for Sofia to exit the room. Our minds were both in a dark place but I knew I could live with the things I would do to these three. I didn’t want to risk her sealing their fates and not being able to deal with it later. She was angry now, but eventually, that would go away.

The door closed and I looked at the Cortes. We had done quite a number on them. They were mainly beaten up but Maria was still clearly in pain as the acid had left her hand looking like ground-up raw hamburger meat. Her hand was about to be the least of her worries though.

“Are we ready to finish this up?” I asked Leo.

“I’m ready if you are.” He responded.

“What more can you do to us?” Maria asked.
