Isabelle’s POV

“My office please.” Steel instructed as he walked passed my desk.

I wasn’t sure what this was about. He had just wrapped off his appointment with his father so truly it could be anything. He didn’t appear like he was unhappy about anything. Then again he didn’t exactly appear thrilled coming back either.

I jumped up from my seat and ran following him before the door closed. Once it was shut he turned his attention to me. His stare was strong as he gazed up and down my body. I gulped down the lump in my throat that had grown.

“What’s going on?” I asked apprehensively.

“Is everything okay?”

“Everything is fine.” He answered as he closed the space in between us.

“I just wanted to have a moment alone with you.”

“Oh.” I’m not going to lie, I was a bit relieved.
