Sofia’s POV

Sterling was silent as he took in the information that I had shared with him. Finally, he spoke.

“How early is early?” He asked.

“Any time really. He gave me medication to help stop the contractions and a shot to mature her lungs.” I explained.

Sterling was silent again. This was a time when I couldn’t pick up on his emotions which worried me. If I couldn’t tell what he was feeling then it was bad. I noticed his fist clenched which was the only hint I was given.

I watched him closely but it still surprised me to see him get out of the hospital bed. He began to rip the monitors off of himself. He was angry and clearly couldn’t contain it anymore.

I didn’t expect anger to be a response from him on this. I thought he would be worried but a little excited.

“What are you doing?” I asked.

“Getting the fuck out of here!” He responded with a raised voice.
