“Alpha, the result is here,” Evans announced, his voice booming through the heavily suffocating and silent living room. He bowed and extended a brown envelope towards Magnus.

We were seated on the couch and so lost in our thoughts that we did not even realise when he opened the door and walked in.

Hours ago, he had taken our samples to the pack hospital for the DNA testing. Those two hours were the longest period of my entire life. They were longer than all the six months I had spent at the Eclipse Pack combined.
