Chapter 30
Zevara’s POV
Slowly, I walked behind Evans towards Alpha Magnus’ office. We passed through the oil-painted walls, polished marble floors, and corporate offices for the professors.
My heart raced faster with each passing second, and every step felt heavier than the last. I was a bit scared though.
Why did he summon me here? Not his room at the mansion. But here—his office at the college.
Then Evans stopped in front of a dark ornate door—as usual it was different from the ones we passed earlier. He bowed slightly, like he was announcing our arrival through the mindlink, before stepping to the side and gesturing for me to go in.
I managed a tight smile at him as I gripped the doorknob. Then I took in a shaky breath, twisted it open, and stepped into the sophisticated office that smelled like cherry and blossom.
