Chapter 86
Zevara’s POV
“What deal?” I asked, confused.
But both of them ignored me and just took a sip of their wine. Talon’s hand reached out and gripped my chin slightly. “It’s nothing to worry about, Vara.” He smiled.
I turned towards the Alpha and his expression just remained unreadable. Whatever deal it is, I was glad it was able to soften the tension between them a little and that gave me the courage to talk about Nina; I can’t let her rot in there.
“I would like to speak to both of you about Nina,” I began softly, still wondering how I’d table it that would make them agree to my words. “Please can you let her go?”
A pause… then, “Sure,” they both chorused.
My brows narrowed, then slowly the meaning of their word settled in and my mouth parted open in disbelief. “You mean she can be let go?”
“Yes, Vara,” Talon said smoothly as if he was not the same person that had insisted that she deserved it minutes ago before I walked out of this room
