Chapter 96

Zevara’s POV

When the Alpha asked me to leave, I hesitated briefly but his hard expression and voice gave no room for argument, so I left.

I was in my room but restless. I couldn’t do anything at all. After I had changed away from the ball dress into comfy shorts and polo, I started pacing the room.

I couldn’t help but think that the Alpha might want to discuss me with Talon. But then, I knew I shouldn’t eavesdrop, so I tried to stay in the room. I moved towards the window, stared out into night and fuck, I couldn’t hold down my curiosity.

“Fuck morals!” I spat and walked out of the room. At the stairs, I pressed my back to the cold wall and that was when I heard the Alpha’s voice.

“She might be with you physically but sexually—she wanted me, craved me and would have me if she had a chance.” Then he taunts, “Why did you think she rejected your proposal?”

Of course, I knew the Alpha knew how much I wanted him and that was why he has been sed
