Chapter 15. Good Morning

Liesl surfaced from the exhausted slumber aware of three things.

First. Her body felt as if she had spent a week in a gym with every muscle she possessed aching in a way she didn’t know possible. Isaias had been an attentive lover. He’d had her five more times through the night, once on his kitchen table when they’d gone down to find snacks and water at four in the morning.

Second. She had stayed the full night with Isais and despite falling asleep at around five she had never slept as deeply as she had while he’d been wrapped around her. Merlin never liked to cuddle in bed because she ran hot. She threw heat from her body like an out-of-control furnace.
