Paige’s POV

"I didn’t expect to see your face again or even see you marked by my brother,"

I rolled my eyes as I decided to ignore Carter no matter what.

Gabriel and I together with Azel arrived at the palace two seconds ago and I’m so unfortunate the person who came to meet us at the door was no one else but mother fucking Carter.

"Hello to you, Carter,"

I said with a fake big smile.

"I know that smile is fake, Paige. You can’t fool me,"

"Maybe you should stop stressing the girl out so much,"

Azel advised. We hadn’t even walked into the palace yet because of Gabriel.

Gabriel was speaking to a woman on the far end side of ours.

"Aww, don’t get too jealous, Paige. He marked you already, he can’t jump to another woman just like that,"

"You’re a pandemic," I told him.

He wasn’t just an arch nemesis to Gabriel, he was a problem to everyone around him
