Chapter 44
Crystina’s POV
After I saw Mellissa and Luka almost kissing in his room, or maybe they were done kissing, I ran out of the house and kept running until I got tired, too tired to even cry. I ended up at the bus station and stayed under the pavilion for hours before returning back to his house. It was on my way back that tears slipped out of my eyes.
He said there was nothing between them, he told me Mellissa meant nothing to him and she was just a nobody. How come he was kissing her and holding her tenderly? That was all a lie.
It was Monday morning already, and that means I have to resume at the pre-school as planned, together with Paige. Throughout the weekend, I’d tried to avoid both Mellissa and Luka. I didn’t take a step out of my room; I had every meal right on my bed even though I had no appetite for it.
