Chapter 17. Try to Convince Me Harder, My Queen
President Braun allowed her to prepare their meal, not to show off, but genuinely because she enjoyed cooking. She didn’t want to be embarrassed and wanted him to appreciate her culinary skills. However, he refused to help her. Ultimately, they both cooked their specialties; he made chicken menudo while she made carbonara and prepared a tuna salad.
After setting the food on the table, they enjoyed it together. She couldn’t properly marvel as President Braun tasted the dishes she prepared. Not because she doubted her abilities but because she was excited about his reaction.
“So?” she asked him, seeing him drink water.
“It was good.” He replied, his tone questioning.
She sighed in relief as if his answer had lifted a weight. Even that was enough for her; he liked it, and she didn’t hear any criticism.
They ate quietly, and she was almost in awe because he nearly finished her carbonara and tuna salad. He didn’t touch his dish and preferred what she made
