Chapter 7. Did You Hear It?
When she got into the car, she found Warren was there, too. "I can do it myself, so don't bother." Penelope hastily said.
"I have promised Asher that I will take care of you until he comes back, and I'll keep my word." Warren wore a gray coat with a flat collar. He sat there like a sacrosanct statue.
Penelope probably has a nestling complex. Warren was the first person she met in London, so if he were there with her, she would feel at ease.
"Thank you." Penelope accepted his kindness and expressed her sincere thanks. She knew that Warren was not as stubborn as herself.
"You are welcome," he replied as the car slowly pulled out of the gate.
The hospital is not far away. It takes twenty minutes to arrive. Warren's assistant led Penelope forward with a checking list and told her what to check, which department she should go to, and who the attending doctor was.
