When Odette had been kidnapped from the exhibition, and Sam had gotten over the rush of adrenaline in the limo, he felt a terrible sense of guilt over the fact that he and Clint had also kidnapped Odette themselves. Sure, they didn’t have whatever toxic and loathsome grip over Odette that the man that Clint had killed earlier clearly had, but he had to wonder if they’d also hurt Odette by taking her out of her natural environment.
