Immediately, the car paused at the Austeegard mansion. Maverick picked up the quadruplets in their usual style: Iris sat on his shoulder, Hudson rested on his back, and Iverson and Orson were carried with one hand each. He began to lead them toward the mansion while they talked about the fun they had during their five-day vacation.

“We are home!” Valencia cheerfully announced and pushed the door open. Her words stuck in her throat when she saw that Lessie was the one who opened it.

Lessie smiled and waved at Valencia awkwardly. “Welcome, Valencia. How have you been?”

She unconsciously stepped aside for Maverick and the quadruplets to enter, revealing Mr. Carter and Amabella waiting at the door.
