Leah's POV

My phone rang in my bag as I stepped out of Empire Fashion House. Despite telling Estefan not to do anything, he still went to Mr. Darlington, asking him to renew my contract with them.

Thanks to that, I was able to get back on my feet and make my way to the top again.

Fishing out my phone from my bag, I smiled when I saw that it was Asher calling. “Hello, babe,” I said as I picked up the call.

“Look at your left,” he ordered, and I complied with a confused expression on my face.

A grin spread across my face when I saw him leaning on his red Maserati in an all-black outfit. I moved closer to him and I noticed his blue eyes staring at me in admiration.

“How long have you been standing there?” I asked as he pulled me into his arms.

“Thirty minutes.” 

“Why didn't you call me?” I gasped. “I was done an hour ago.”

“I wanted to surprise you, so it's worth it.” He shrugged before taking my hand. “Let's g
