Chapter 40. His Taste
"Then, come to the parking lot. Let's talk in the car."
Receiving such an order, Mia blinked in surprise. However, not daring to ask, the girl agreed. "Okay, I'll be right there."
As soon as the secretary lowered the phone from her ear, Julian threw a question. "What is it?"
“Mr. Herbert wants me to talk in the car,” Mia answered flatly. Her blinking eyes still conveyed confusion, but the man let out a sigh of relief.
“That means your worries are in vain, Mia. Dad can't talk about important matters in the car," Julian implied, stroking the secretary's head.
Hearing those soothing words, the wrinkles on the girl's brows began to unravel. "I hope so. Mr. Herbert must just want to inquire about Quebracha.”
After giving a closing kiss, the man stroked his lover's cheek. "Then go. Act as usual. There's nothing for you to worry about. Let me know when you get to the apartment."
