"Sorry, Miss Johnson. Cayden is really afraid of strangers," Mia explained while stroking the back of the baby who rested his head on her shoulder.
Secretly, regret had grown in the girl's heart. She shouldn't have allowed Julian's plan to be carried out. Little Prince's tears was too precious to be sacrificed.
"It doesn't matter. Aren't some babies afraid of meeting strangers?" Katniss said after wiping the disappointment from her face.
Worried that his plan would be in vain, Julian spoke up. “But, Cayden's fear is different, Miss. He's traumatized by a kidnapping. From then on, he shut himself off from strangers. Apart from family, the only person he wants to approach is Mia.”
Hearing Julian's explanation, the secretary secretly stared scornfully. “Look at this man! How could he take advantage of his own nephew. Doesn't he sympathize with the fear Cayden faces?” Mia cursed
