Chapter 187. Empty Space

Arriving at Herbert's house, a baby in a black coat rushed in. Once he passed the door, he raised both hands and shouted, “Boo!”

A second later, Cayden found only empty space. However, instead of showing sadness, he chuckled and quickened his pace.

Little Prince thought that his grandfather was waiting in the living room, as usual. The innocent baby did not understand that Herbert would not be able to welcome him again. Excitedly, he sped up and repeated the surprise.

"Boo!"

Realizing that his grandfather wasn't there either, Little Prince's eyebrows shot up. Confusion began to shift his spirit. Blinking slowly, Cayden turned to face his parents.

"Um ... Empa?"

Hearing the longing question, Max and Gabriella looked at each other. After reading the same feeling, the woman sighed faintly. Holding the sorrow behind her furrowed brows, she knelt down to face her son.

“Grandpa is no longer here, Little Prince,” Gabriella said in an unstabl
