Chapter 35. Hard Headed
When we went out, the sun was already set. there is light on each pole. I smiled to see Leon topless as he effortlessly loaded a large cooler and landed on the sand, just on the edge of the barbecue.
Cold air covered my chest and stomach. I can’t seem to believe it. The people I used to see on missions, fighting, shooting… are in front of me now as if they were just simple people. There is no fight, no relentless laughter with their loved ones.
Maria Isabella is wearing a vintage dress. Her long hair dances with the gusts of wind from the sea. Bloom and Diego are in a cottage with a video cafe. Diego folded his arms and listened to her.
I sighed as I got wet. James Felix shot me with a water gun!
“Let’s swim mama!”
I nodded, “No, Felix. It’s late. You might get cold.”
A hug envelope my body. I felt Leon’s kiss on my hair.
“Go on son…” he signaled the sea to our son.
“Leon! Maybe the child will cough!”
