Chapter 70. Clarifications

Matteo went back to the main door to get his luggage still lying on her doorstep. He wheeled them in and closed the door while Amelia stood watching him with a confused look on her face. What exactly did he mean by that?

“Won’t you help me move in with you?” Amelia’s jaws dropped at his intention. Didn’t he want to live in New York anymore? She went forward to handle the last luggage while he already wheeled the other two into her bedroom right in front.

“Hang on! This is my bedroom. If you need a place to sleep tonight, use that one.” She pointed to the one at the far end, but Matteo shook his head and settled for the one right next to hers.

“I’ll settle for this one.” He pushed his luggage right inside while Amelia followed him with the last one. Matteo sat down on the bed, closing his eyes momentarily. All the running around since morning had exhausted him and he seriously need some rest.
