Chapter 21

Chenzo’s POV

I had just finished another meeting, and I felt so tired. I hadn’t slept for days. I had to finish signing all the paperwork. I had to visit some sites for the projects that were to begin soon. I had declined being the heir of my dad’s company, but I still couldn’t escape from this pain-in-the-ass workload. I sighed as I approached my car. I opened the door and was startled to hell when a kid suddenly rushed inside.

What the heck had just happened?

“Hey, kid. What are you doing?” I asked, furrowing my brows.

“Hide me, I just need a little time,” he said, and I could smell the scent of alcohol despite our distance.

I smirked. “You’re too young to be drinking. I don’t have time for any of your games. Get out of my car or I’ll call the police,” I threatened, but he just looked at me with those puppy eyes. I hated that expression!

“Sir, just a moment. I just need a moment. I promise I’ll disappear if you let me hide for a moment,”
